The Broadcasters Foundation is responsible for helping countless individuals in the broadcasting industry who find themselves in need in times of hardship and tragedy. The organization produces events all across the United States to raise money for their cause. Funds are distributed as both monthly grants and one-time offerings.

Many major national news media figures are affiliated with the Broadcasters Foundation, including George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and Deborah Norville of Inside Edition, who both sit on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

“The Broadcasters Foundation of America was created to help current and former broadcasters in need. But we needed new e-tools to reach more people in new and innovative ways,” said Jim Thompson, President of the Foundation. “GrafiQa is a team of experts in new media marketing. They provided fresh ideas, stunning design and unparalleled professionalism to take the Foundation’s marketing and brand image to the next level.”

Back from the 2008 MYOB Conference in Texas and it turns out armadillos are real.

October 1, 2008

For anyone who does not know…. MYOB (Mind your own Business) is an opportunity for owners of design and marketing agencies to get together for a 3 day conference focused on our overall industry and running successful agencies.

The conference was at the Lost Pines Resort outside of Austin, TX. The resort was great. The pool was massive.

Some of the Speakers really left me thinking about our company, its direction and taking some definitive steps to making some significant changes with our positioning and direction. One of the major things we need to address is getting more exposure for some of the big projects we do and how we really make significant impacts on organizations through marketing, design, branding, etc.

Finally, I knew armadillos were real but for some reason I was still surprised they existed.
